Composition
Florfenicol ………………………………3 mg
Indications
Birds, in the treatment and prophylaxis (in flocks where the diagnosis has been confirmed) of bacterial infections caused by bacteria sensitive to florfenicol:
- chronic respiratory disease (Mycoplasma gallisepticum)
- infectious synovitis (Mycoplasma synoviae)
- airsacculitis (Mycoplasma meleagridis)
- colibacillosis (Escherichia coli)
- fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida)
- bordetellosis of turkeys (Bordetella avium)
- infectious coryza (Haemophillus paragallinarum)
Contraindications
Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to florfenicol or to any of the excipients. Do not use in case of known resistance to florfenicol.
Dosage and administration
Orally administered;
Poultry: 1 tablet/kg body weight/day
Duration of treatment 5-7 days.
To avoid underdosing and to ensure a correct dosage, body weight must be determined as accurately as possible
Withdrawal period
Poultry (chickens, broilers, turkeys): meat and offal: 28 days.
Do not administer to birds whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
