Composition
1.0 ml of the preparation contains 200 mg of doxycycline hyclate (hydrochloride) and 1,000,000 IU of colistin sulfate, excipients: benzyl alcohol, lactic acid, purified water
Indications
Doxicol Aqua is used in calves, pigs and poultry for escherichiosis (colibacillosis), salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis and other infectious diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to doxycycline and colistin, accompanied by lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory organs and genito-urinary tract
Contraindications
Contraindicated in combination with antibiotics from the macrolide group, tetracycline, chloramphenicol; nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
The drug is contraindicated in case of renal and hepatic dysfunction.
The drug is not recommended for use in ruminants over 6 months of age.
The drug is prohibited for use in poultry whose eggs are used for human consumption and for replacing young hens later than 20 days before the start of egg laying; in breeding boars and sows during gestation.
Dosage and administration
Poultry (broilers, turkeys, geese): 0.1-0.2 ml per 1 kg of body weight of the bird (for individual administration), or 500 ml per 1000 L of water, by the batch method for 3-5 days. For poultry, the drug solution is prepared based on the daily water requirement. During the treatment period, the bird should receive only water containing the drug. If necessary, the treatment is repeated after 5 days;
– pigs: 1000-1500 ml of the drug per 1000 l of drinking water. For individual administration, the drug is used in a dose of 0.5-1.0 ml per 10 kg of animal body weight twice a day for 3-5 days;
– calves up to 6 months of age: 0.5-1.0 ml per 10 kg of animal body weight twice a day for 3-5 days.
Withdrawal period
Slaughter of animals and birds for meat is allowed no earlier than 20 days after the last use of the preparation. The meat of animals and birds, killed by force before the expiration of the specified period, can be used for feeding carnivorous animals.
Presentation form
The product is packaged in polymer bottles of 20, 100, 500 and 1000 ml.
Shelf life
Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 2 years.
