
Swine and cattle.
Ceftiofur (as Ceftiofur Hydrochloride)……50 mg

Infections associated with bacteria susceptible to ceftiofur:
Swine: For the treatment of bacterial respiratory diseases associated with Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Streptococcus suis.
Cattle: For the treatment of bacterial respiratory diseases associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus somnus. For the treatment of acute interdigital necrobacillosis (panaritium, pietin) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus (Phorphyromonas asaccharolytica). For the treatment of acute post-partum metritis up to 10 days after calving associated with Escherichia coli, Arcanobacterium pyogenes and Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Do not administer to animals that have previously shown hypersensitivity to ceftiofur and other beta-lactam antibiotics. Do not inject intravenously
Pigs: 3 mg ceftiofur/kg bw/day for 3 days by intramuscular injection, e.g. 1 ml CEFTIOFUR/16 kg bw/day.
Cattle: Treatment of respiratory diseases: 1 mg ceftiofur/kg bw/day for 3 to 5 days by subcutaneous injection, e.g. 1 ml CEFTIOFUR/50 kg bw/day.
Treatment of acute interdigital necrobacillosis: 1 mg ceftiofur/kg bw/day for 3 days by subcutaneous injection, e.g. 1 ml CEFTIOFUR/50 kg bw/day. Acute postpartum metritis up to 10 days after calving: 1 mg ceftiofur/kg bw/day for 5 consecutive days by subcutaneous injection, e.g. 1 ml CEFTIOFU/50 kg bw/day.
Subsequent injections should be given at different sites. In case of acute postpartum metritis, additional supportive therapy may be necessary in some cases.
Swine: Meat and offal - 4 days; Cattle: Meat and offal - 3 days; Milk - Zero days.
The product is presented in 50 ml and 100 ml glass bottles.
Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 2 years.
Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: 14 days
